The tripartite mission of the Washington University department of Neurology is to provide outstanding clinical care, train leading neurologists and scientists of the future, and to be an international leader in clinical and basic research on the disorders of the nervous system.  Our goal is to bring scientific research and discovery from the bench to the bedside to improve the lives of our patients. Our department has a long-standing tradition of excellence. The department has fourteen Clinical Services, each staffed by faculty and clinical physicians who serve patients through hospitals and medical facilities affiliated with the Washington University School of Medicine. We currently have 160 faculty and receive over 60 million dollars of NIH funding per year.  We are actively recruiting neurologists in several areas at this time.  For clinical educator positions, we are actively recruiting in adult neurology in general neurology/headache, neuromuscle, epilepsy, and for an interventional endovascular stroke neurologist.  In both pediatric and adult neurology, we are always open to speaking to potential physician-scientists as well.
